The Aberdare Maasai Mara Safari is a well-crafted 8-day journey. It showcases Kenya’s stunning diversity—from misty mountain forests to sun-drenched savannahs. This safari blends breathtaking scenery, abundant wildlife, and rich cultural experiences into one unforgettable adventure.
Your journey begins in the Aberdare National Park, a cool, forested highland where waterfalls, bamboo groves, and dense vegetation set the stage for unique wildlife viewing. Spot elephants, bushbucks, leopards, and rare species like the bongo antelope. One of the highlights here is the chance to observe animals gathering at floodlit waterholes from tree-top lodges. This is an experience you won’t easily forget.
Next, you’ll descend into the Great Rift Valley to explore Lake Nakuru National Park. Known for its rhino sanctuary and flocks of flamingos, this park offers scenic beauty and excellent chances to see lions, buffaloes, and over 400 bird species.
Continue to Lake Naivasha, a peaceful freshwater lake surrounded by acacia forests. You may enjoy a boat ride to see hippos and birds up close. Or, you may take a walking safari on nearby Crescent Island, where giraffes and zebras roam freely.
The safari concludes in the world-famous Maasai Mara, Kenya’s top game reserve. Daily game drives take you through vast plains filled with elephants, big cats, and, during July–October, the Great Wildebeest Migration. You’ll also have the option to visit a traditional Maasai village, adding a cultural highlight to your Aberdare Maasai mara safari.
