Overview

Mount Kenya, rising to 5,199 meters, offers hikers one of Africa’s most exciting trekking experiences. The 4-Day Mount Kenya Naro Moru Sirimon Route combines two classic trails, giving you diverse scenery and unforgettable adventure.

The trek begins on the Naro Moru side, famous for its lush montane forests and challenging vertical bog. This section provides a chance to spot wildlife and experience the contrast between dense vegetation and open moorlands. Moreover, the gradual climb allows you to adjust to altitude while enjoying incredible views.

The highlight of the trek is reaching Point Lenana, Mount Kenya’s third-highest peak, in time for a breathtaking sunrise. From here, you can admire panoramic views across the mountain’s jagged peaks and the vast Kenyan landscape. In addition, the golden light at dawn creates the perfect setting for photography and reflection.

Your descent follows the Sirimon route, which offers a calmer, more scenic finish. Wide valleys, alpine meadows, and dramatic landscapes make this section particularly rewarding. Therefore, the combination of Naro Moru and Sirimon ensures a balanced, well-rounded hiking experience.

Wildmont Safaris provides professional guides, reliable support staff, and quality camping equipment to make your trek safe and memorable. If you are interested in exploring more of Kenya’s highlands, consider our 5-Day Mount Kenya Hike via Sirimon Route.
