The 6-day Aberdare Maasai Mara Tsavo Safari offers a dynamic journey through Kenya’s most iconic and contrasting landscapes. Enjoy misty forests of the central highlands to open grasslands and rugged red-earth plains. This safari is perfect for travelers who crave variety, wildlife, and unforgettable scenery.
Start in Aberdare National Park, a cool, forested sanctuary known for its unique tree lodges like The Ark or Treetops. Here, wildlife such as elephants, bushbucks, hyenas, and leopards visit floodlit waterholes. Amazingly, you can enjoy rare viewing opportunities from the comfort of your lodge. The lush terrain, rivers, and waterfalls provide a peaceful contrast to the dry savannahs ahead.
Next, journey to the world-famous Maasai Mara National Reserve, where rolling plains host incredible concentrations of wildlife, including the Big Five—lion, elephant, rhino, leopard, and buffalo. If visiting between July and October, you may witness the dramatic Great Wildebeest Migration. Your time in the Mara also includes a chance to connect with the Maasai community, known for their vibrant culture and resilience.
The adventure continues to Tsavo National Park, one of Africa’s largest game parks. Its red-dusted elephants, lava flows, and volcanic hills make Tsavo truly distinct. At Mzima Springs, observe hippos and crocodiles in crystal-clear waters, and enjoy sweeping views of Mount Kilimanjaro from parts of Tsavo West.
This Aberdare Maasai Mara Tsavo Safari blends Kenya’s top safari highlights into a well-paced, 6-day itinerary—ideal for nature lovers, photographers, and first-time safari-goers.
