Day 01 : Chogoria Town to Chogoria Gate (Mt. Kenya Bandas)

Depart from Chogoria town for a 22 km drive through the Chogoria forest, enjoying scenic views of the bamboo forest. Commence a 10 km hike heading to Chogoria Gate at 2950m, where you will set camp for the first night. The walk offers a gentle ascent, ideal for acclimatizing.

Day 02 : Chogoria Gate to Lake Ellis (3400m)

After breakfast, start your 9 km hike from Chogoria Gate to Lake Ellis at 3400m. Along the way, you will have the opportunity to hike Mugi Hill at 3541m and enjoy views of Ithanguni and the Giant's Billiards Table. Settle at the lakeside campsite for the second night, surrounded by natural beauty.

Day 03 : Lake Ellis to Mintos Hut (4297m)

Depart from Lake Ellis campsite and head towards Mintos Hut at 4297m. This 12 km hike takes you through the spectacular Gorges Valley, offering breathtaking views and diverse landscapes. Spend the night at Mintos Hut, preparing for the ascent to the summit.

Day 04 : Mintos Hut to Austrian Hut (4700m)

Begin the day with an ascending hike by the bottom of huge rocky walls, experiencing breathtaking views of Mount Kenya. Head through the Tooth Col and reach Austrian Hut at 4700m for the night. This 7 km trek helps you acclimate further and get ready for the final summit push.

Day 05 : Austrian Hut to Point Lenana to Old Moses Camp (3300m)

Start the ascent at around 5:00 am, climbing across bare rock and slopes up to Point Lenana, the hiker’s summit, arriving in time to experience a stunning sunrise. After savoring the views, descend to Shipton's Camp for breakfast. Continue descending via Mackinder's Valley to Old Moses Camp at 3300m. This day's journey covers approximately 20 km, blending the thrill of summiting with the beauty of the descent. Spend the night at Old Moses Camp.

Day 06 : Old Moses Camp to Sirimon Gate

After an early morning breakfast at Old Moses Camp, descend for about three hours, covering 9 km, to Sirimon Gate at 2650m. From there, catch your travel vehicle to Nanyuki town and then transfer back to Nairobi, arriving around 16:00hrs. Reflect on the incredible journey and the diverse landscapes you've encountered.
